Great Lakes' Sun-Dried Tomatoes begin their journey to your table in the fertile fields of western Turkey, one of the premier tomato-growing regions of the world. Our growers plant only the finest Roma style tomato hybrids, and then carefully nurture them to maturity. Harvest is delayed until the warm Mediterranean sun has brought out the full flavor and color of the crop, and then the tomatoes are halved and laid under the same warm sun to dry. Before packaging and shipment to you, the sun-dried halves are re-washed and individually selected under rigorously controlled conditions.
